This MTD GCS 46/40 Petrol Chainsaw is extremely well priced and is the most powerful in its class. It has been designed to offer domestic users the performance levels of a professional chainsaw but at really low budget price.

It has an extremely powerful 46.4 cc (1.9 kW / 2.55 HP) 2-stroke petrol engine which delivers plenty of torque and a fast work rate even on tougher cuts. The engine features a primer and decompression valve for easy starting from cold.

The MTD GCS46/40C Petrol Chainsaw comes with a 40cm/16" guide bar and 3.8" chain pitch making it ideal for sawing up logs for the fire as well as being suitable for climbing work around the garden.

It features a lateral chain tensioner which helps to ensure your saw is always working at its best. There is also an automatic chain oiler to improve performance. A generous sized 0.36 litre fuel tank will keep you going for longer periods. The weight of the chain saw is 5.6 kg.
